Hitting a 365 wall.
I'm disappointed that my posting has been sporadic lately. I'm really struggling for subject matter. I mean, most weekdays, I get up, go to work, come home, eat dinner, watch a bit o'telly and hit the hay. There just aren't a lot of photo ops in there. I've just added the gym to the beginning of that routine...but I think snapping photos there may be frowned upon. I can usually find something to shoot on weekends (although certain weekends, like this one, I end up working both days so the ops are still limited). I need some inspiration...if there are any 365ers reading, do you have any advice?
Chicken!
On my recommendation, Dave followed the Pioneer Woman post and rustled up these roasted chickens this afternoon. We bought rotisserie chickens all the time in Calgary but the Bermuda versions aren't quite the same, so I thought this might be a reasonable alternative. We'll see! The seasoned one in the back's for the humans...the plain one supplements the monsters kibble. I suspect they won't appreciate Dave's extra effort!

Ole!
We got some new wheels this week (four of them, this time)...the height of Bermuda luxury (well, maybe not quite...), a Ford Fiesta. Given that Fiesta's are heavily promoted on American Idol, I presume we are not exactly the target buyer...but Dave wouldn't cave on the Fiat 500 (too small! impractical!), this was the next best thing. The leather upgrade (which humidity and dogs make a necessity) required we also get heated seats - won't that be handy?! :p I got to pick the color as consolation for my Fiat dreams being dashed.

How has he survived this long?!

Nothing says 'Happy Easter' like a personal-sized trifle!
I made my first visit to the gym this morning, after a 3+ month hiatus. (Can you say 'procrastinator'?) However, any benefits were quickly negated. We've just returned from Easter brunch at the Fairmont...I guess my expectations were low because I was very impressed by the Vegas-style spread. Champagne? Check. Ice sculptures? Check. Cheesy live piano muzak? Check. Chocolate fountain? Check. Dessert table longer than my living room? Check. On the agenda for the afternoon? Undoing my top button and lying on the couch with everything crossed while watching the Flames. Hopefully at some point, I'll be able to move.

Good Friday indeed
Deets: f/8, 75mm, 1/800, ISO200
Bermuda Good Friday tradition means fish cakes, hot cross buns and kite flying at the beach. We had some HCB for breakfast and headed to the beach around lunch time (no fish cakes yet today!). The weather wasn't exactly ideal...but we didn't get wet, so it was all good. Today was the first time I've made a conscious effort to take photos of total strangers...I kept thinking someone was going to come over and ask WTF I was taking a photo of!
